My name is Qiu Tiantian, I have studied international film and television production at Zhejiang Institute of media and communication and am currently studying photography at the University of Creative Arts in the UK in 2021. I have participated in micro-film shooting for many times and won various awards in campus film festivals in 2021 .

 

I received my first camera when I was 19. It was a Sony digital camera, sonya7r3, followed by the film camera Canon F1 as I enjoy the story and emotion of film very much. Because of my long experience of living alone, I like to go out alone to shoot in a humanistic way, exploring the relationship between man and nature, reflecting human inner emotions and common social phenomena. I think while photography records, for me, the more important thing is expression, which is no different from painting and poetry.

 

My photographic practice reflects on current global events, sustainability and the environment. I often explore this using scale in my photographs. We are small amongst the universe, in order to maintain our planet earth, and the survival of mankind, I believe we should protect the environment and cherish the earth, this topic is the focus of my arts practice.
